What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is an easy way to get the IndyEthnicFood information you want whenever
it is updated; even if you are not on IndyEthnicFood. IndyEthnicFood provides continually updated headline feeds from all
the top sections and delivers them directly to your desktop news reader. Put plainly, RSS allows you to identify the content
you like and have it delivered directly to you.
How can I use RSS?
In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed
using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you
want. Once the RSS reader is set up to access IndyEthnicFood.com, it will continually poll the IndyEthnicFood.com
RSS feeds for the latest headlines.
RSS Readers
A number of free and commercial news readers are available for download. Popular news readers
include RSS Bandit, Feed Demon, and Bloglines. Find a News Reader application here.
After installing the news reader, you can add each feed manually from the Web site by clicking on the "XML" orange button next
to the feed you choose. When the XML code is displayed select the web address (URL) and copy it into your news reader.
What RSS feeds are available?
IndyEthnicFood currently offers RSS feeds from four of our top sections (see below) plus Drew's Culinary Quiz. Keep checking this page as we will update it with the
latest feeds that are made available.
